finPack

finPack provides financial and Consumer Price Index (CPI) tools directly within Microsoft Excel.

Powered by BPOpti, finPack combines an Excel task pane, worksheet functions, and CPI data from recognized statistical providers to make CPI information easier to retrieve, analyze, and use in Excel workbooks.

What you can do with finPack​

With finPack, you can:

  • Browse available CPI countries and series.
  • View the latest CPI value and CPI increase.
  • Retrieve a CPI value for a specific month.
  • View the change in CPI from the previous month.
  • Compare average CPI values over consecutive periods.
  • Insert complete CPI history into a structured Excel table.
  • Use finPack worksheet functions directly in Excel formulas.

Excel functions​

finPack currently provides three worksheet functions:

=FINPACK.CPI(country, series, year, month)
=FINPACK.CPIINCREASE(country, series, year, month)
=FINPACK.CPIAVGCHANGE(country, series, months, year, month)
